Well I added tons of stuff to the mobile version over the past two days.

First, bugfixes. There are no known bugs in the mobile version at this moment.

Second, the second minigame. You have to deal out a set amount of damage to the buddy as fast as possible (it keeps track of best times, just as the Gems minigame keeps track of your high score). There are three rounds and in each round you are only able to use a certain interaction method. Then the times from each round are added up to get your total.

Third, and most importantly, the buddy rank system. It basically replaces the money system of the Flash version. As you beat up or talk to the buddy, a meter fills up. When the meter gets full, the buddy increases in "rank". There are 100 ranks, and you can level-up up to 20 times each day (after that the meter turns off until the next day). Thus, avid players can get to max level in five days.

As the buddy levels up, new items are unlocked. These include new backgrounds and special modes (no gravity, slow motion, etc). The buddy also gets tougher and won't stay unconscious as long when you knock him out.

Seems to be a great system so far, and I have already made a bunch of really cool backgrounds that seem to fit the color profile of the game pretty well.

After I code all the special modes (shouldn't take long, I just have to come up with ideas for them first), I just have to add more ambient conversation content and the app will be ready for review.

Sounds great so far! (Guess I'll save some of that gift card after all. ;) )

Also something to think about as an update after you finish: you can put the original Interactive Buddy in, too. Just for, well, portable nostalgia, I guess.

I looked over the Game Center guidelines... I don't think I'll get support in for the initial version of Interactive Buddy, but possibly in an update. Also, I have plans (if IB is successful) to develop a pseudo-sequel with a different character as the "buddy"--I'll definitely get Game Center integration into that one!

The main problem is that Interactive Buddy right now doesn't support different users--the same game save is used for everyone that uses the device it's on. So I have to add support for multiple users before Game Center would work.

oh and btw is Interactive Buddy 2 and Interactive Buddy Mobile going to remember everything we have done on it like money and objects we have gotten and unlocked? Because whenever I play the first Interactive Buddy it never remembers anything that I have done. Also is IB2 and IBm going to have cheats in them too like IB1 did?

Hmm... IB1 should remember everything... if it doesn't than that is either a bug or a problem with your Flash player.

Anyway both versions will remember everything if your Flash is working right :)

Well i think it is working right...lol. I'm using the latest version of Adobe Flash so i guess nothing is wrong with the Flash player. Maybe a bug? Oh and what was the site that you released IB1 to whenever you released it?

DeviantArt, Newgrounds, and Kongregate were the only sites I personally uploaded it to.

oh yeah sorry...

right now there isn't one but for ib2 there will be some secret way to enable debug features, I still have to add that actually...

I'm sure knowledge of how to do this will leak out somehow, eventually :)
